Some of the most rewarding times to visit Union Øye fall between the peaks. In spring, March and April bring the turning season – the last ski runs of the year, waterfalls filling with meltwater, and the valley slowly coming back to life. In autumn, October arrives in a blaze of shifting color, and November carries its own quiet anticipation – the house begins to dress for Christmas, the first decorations appear, and there is a particular pleasure in being here before the season truly begins.
To make the most of these slower, more contemplative months, stay a little longer. Book three nights and pay for two, in any room type.
Available in March, April, October and November.

March and April offer
Spring arrives gradually in Øye – and in March, winter still has much to say. The ski touring season is at its finest, with long days and stable snow in the mountains above the valley. By April the season begins to turn, waterfalls run full with meltwater, and the first green appears in the valley below. A time of contrasts, and one of the most rewarding times to be here.

October and November offer
October brings the valley to life in colour – the hillsides shift through amber and gold, the light softens, and the fjord takes on a stillness that is particular to this time of year. By November the colours have settled and the house begins its quiet preparations for Christmas – the first decorations appear, the evenings draw in, and there is a warmth to being here before the season truly begins. A good time to arrive early.
