The library at Union Øye holds a remarkable collection — among it the only complete set of the Alpine Journal in Norway, with the first edition dating back to 1863. Alongside it, shelf upon shelf of alpine history, exploration literature, and accounts of the mountains that surround this valley and the climbers who first made their way up them.
